Pittsburgh to Houston to Managua. What a crazy day of travel. I am so blessed to have made this trip with 20 amazing people. We arrived at our "compound" around midnight Pittsburgh time. We were promptly greeted by Buzzby (no, not the king of the bees). He went over some basic rules or lessons of the jungle. I will only share one: Make sure you shake your towels and bedding before you use them. We do have scorpions and tarantulas...
I am sitting on the 3rd floor of what they call the Library. I can see tropical birds and beautiful mountains engulfed in a haze of clouds. The aroma changes as the wind changes - from flowers to sweet something, and the smell of coffee. As a friend of mine said recently, "Oh the winds are changing."
Today we will be entereing the dump. No sweet smells, no mountains, no tropical birds. Please pray for our team and the people we will be encountering.
Mark
praying for all of you!
