Mark and I had the pleasure of running into old (meaning previously lived in our neighborhood) neighbors, who we haven't seen in over three or four years. The last time we spoke to them, they were extremely concerned about their daughter. I can still remember the expressions of despair, discouragement and hopelessness of their faces when they would talk about her. They were particularly worried about the choices she was making, from her wardrobe, to her activities and how she spent her time to her peer group. However, what I think broke their hearts was their crippling relationship with her. We were so absolutely encouraged this afternoon when they shared that their relationship with her is completely repaired. (Unfortunately, we didn't have time to get all of the details.) However, over the last few hours, their story has been a source of comfort and encouragement. Relationships can be repaired and renewed! I especially needed to hear their story TODAY. God is so good and with Him, all things are absolutely possible.
